Hydrangea paniculata

Back to:  Shrub Gallery
Back to HYDRANGEA GALLERY...
All the paniculatas enjoy full sun to light shade; for best blooming, avoid heavy shade.
The most cold hardy of all hydrangeas - since they bloom on new wood they are not subject to frost damage.
Flower color changes as fall approaches gradually aging to shades of pinks and reds and ultimately brown.
Dried blooms provide winter interest.
Paniculatas provide late summer bloom when few other shrubs are in flower.
